Warm Welcome in a Cold Place
We arrived here in Eden on Thursday. We flew into the Aberdeen airport and had an entire welcoming committee -- Mike's dad, Uncle Jim, Aunt Margie, Aunt Mary Ellen, and cousin Earl! (Mike's mom and Kimberly's family were back in Eden.) There was no snow when we arrived (fortunately), but we woke up on Friday morning to find that Mike's Christmas wish came true. Snow was falling andwe ended up with about two inches. Beautiful!
Today is a little less nice. It's raining, and so we're getting a layer of ice over everything. The plan had been to go ice fishing today (Paul: "How much ice do they typically catch?"), but it's too icky. So, we'll probably stay in and play dominoes instead.
