Win-Win Situation

We went to our first home basketball game of the season last night: Ohio State versus UNC. (Either way, we win!) I rooted for both teams; my traitorous husband decided that he had to pick one, so he went for the Tarheels. As it turned out, the Tarheels won. I'm okay with that; OSU gets football, so UNC should get basketball. It's only fair. :)

We have exactly the same seats as last year -- which is slightly disappointing in that I thought we might move down a row. Oh well! At least we've got tickets -- including the Duke game this year.

In other good news, we actually had a positive experience with computer tech support! Mike has a laptop that he got from the company he worked for a year or two ago, and it's been having problems with the screen. Specifically, he had a bunch of vertical lines through the screen that didn't go away -- like a dead pixel but worse. Very annoying. It's been like that for a couple of months, and we just assumed that he'd had the computer long enough that it was out of warranty. But when we checked (um, that is, when Dad checked), it turns out that the company that bought the laptop sprang for the superduper fancypants gold tech support warranty. So, we called Dell, spent some time with Indian tech support, then spent some time with American tech support, and in the end (after only an hour), they concluded we needed a new screen. And lo and behold, the guy showed up today with the new screen, problem solved! Woo-hoo!
