Ruins

Today we went to the Roman ruins at Fishborne. It's pretty amazing, really, that all these mosiac floors are still so intact after so many centuries. (They discovered the site when they were digging for a water main. It wasn't totally clear how the guy with the backhoe figured out what he'd hit.)

We also walked around the town and cathedral of Chichester. There are more cute ancient towns around here than you can shake a stick at. (The only problem is that you have to get through the English roundabouts -- we'd call them traffic circles -- to get to them.)

We move to the rental house tomorrow and may not have Internet access there, so don't worry if you don't hear from us for a while.
