Pirates and Psychologists

I'm back from a lovely weekend in Tampa, where our main professional conference was held (on the same weekend as the Gasparilla Pirate Festival!) The parade went right by the convention center, which was great because it made it easy to duck out of the conference for a little while and catch some of the festivities (and beads, if you were lucky), but not-so-great because the cannon fire from the floats interrupted some poor speakers' presentations. Ah well, everyone made it through!

It was a great time all around -- I had a chance to catch up with old friends, and also enjoy some warm Florida weather.
