Jet-Setting

We're off to England on Wednesday. It seems very odd to be traveling overseas in the middle of the semester, but I was invited to give a talk at a university there. (It's fall break, though, so I'm not actually missing any class.) Mike is coming along, and we're making a short vacation out of it. We'll do our best to ignore the dismal exchange rate.

We'll spend most of the weekend with his old roommate, which should be a lot of fun. Apparently England will be playing in the Rugby World Cup while we're there, so we'll get some of the atmosphere. (I'm not sure whether we want that particular atmosphere, but we'll see!)
