Labor Day Weekend
On the new side, one of our friends took us out to a South Indian restaurant in Cary. Most Indian restaurants in this country focus on North Indian cuisine, so this one had some unfamiliar dishes and flavors. Very tasty! And the buffet let us sample a little of everything. (And perhaps as a sign of the restaurant's authenticity, we were in a distinct minority as non-Indians!)
We also explored some new nature trails, right by the public library. The loop we took wasn't long, but it was pretty and a nice walk, especially since the temperatures were slightly cooler this weekend. Like some of the other public spaces here, it's probably much nicer in the summer than in the winter -- right now the leaves on the trees hide how close the trail is to houses.
In the spirit of Labor Day, we rented the final (Christmas special) episode of the British version of The Office. (Our brother in law has gotten us hooked on many things from Britain! If only we could have watched it while eating some Thai crisps and digestive biscuits...) It was hilarious.
And as for tradition, we had burgers on the grill this evening. Oh, yes, and we savored Michigan's defeat in their opening game! (We can only hope that becomes a tradition.)
