Decepticons!
Last night, we seized our last opportunity to see Transformers movie on the big screen. It was a lot of fun! One of the neighborhood theaters in town does weekend outdoor movies on the "neighborhood green." (It's like the drive-in, but without the cars!) They do a really nice job with it -- the picture is really clear, and the sound levels are just right. (Our only mistake was bringing the low lawn chairs, thinking that people would mostly be on blankets -- turned out that most people brought regular chairs. But we had a good spot anyhow, and really, how much important action is there at the bottom of the screen?)
The villians of the movie are the Decepticons, which is one of the best evil names ever. It straddles the elusive line between awesome and totally lame. There's something about it that reminds me of the names we used to give our stuffed animals when we were very young (that is, the stuffed mouse was named Mousie, the stuffed seal was Sealy...)
