Wishful Thinking

Now it's official: our building is one of the ugliest on an otherwise attractive campus. And if you're thinking that this picture doesn't look so bad, let me tell you, the interior is worse. (The one architectural "feature", a central staircase, is apparently now a big no-no from a fire safety standpoint.) On the bright side, though, we have big lovely windows, so we can look out onto more pleasant surroundings.

(Of course, if you read the linked article, the key point is that although everyone agrees the building should be torn down, they don't actually have, oh, any money allocated to replace it. Such is life in academe.)
