Daniel Comes to Town

Nora, Adrian, and Daniel came to visit last weekend. Daniel is still at the almost, but not quite crawling stage -- which is maybe a good thing given that our house is not babyproofed.

We did a little outing to Weaver Street on Sunday, which gave us a taste of life with infants. We had to plan to be out and about in the interval between Daniel's naptimes (and our schedule was thrown off a bit because we realized right before we were walking out the door that we needed to put the chicken in the marinade for the evening's dinner). We got to Weaver Street and had time for looking around the restaurant made of converted trains, and almost enough time for ice cream before baby meltdown. (Luckily, Daniel is generally very sweet-tempered, so the meltdown could be postponed a bit by continued distraction.) So, with baby in tow, leisurely afternoon = leisurely hour!

P.S. In this picture, Daniel's hat says "I hunt for hugs." :) It fits in a bit better in Virginia than it did in hippy Carrboro!
