Turn it Blue

I didn't intend for this to turn into an all-politics, all the time blog, but just a few more election observations:

It may have taken them a long time to count the votes (apparently we're the new Florida), but we turned North Carolina blue! (And they said Barack couldn't win in the South...but NC proved them wrong.)

Our pre-election Sunday newspaper arrived in a "Dole for Senate" bag. Mike's comment: "That'll be great for picking up dog shit."

I caught the last part of Obama's first press conference last week. I'm so happy to have an articulate president again. He's smart, he's funny -- what a pleasant change.

And also, I'm way too excited about the fact that the Obamas are getting a puppy.
