Maybe We Should Have Served Chicken

We had our neighbors over for dinner tonight, and we ate Mike's turkey-mushroom-polenta dish out on the deck. Just as they were getting ready to go home, there was a big kerfuffle up in the sky, and four enormous turkey vultures flew up and settled in the pine trees overlooking the yard next door. It was rather ominous -- we weren't sure what dead thing they were stalking. (Our neighbors on that side, the Russians, are a bit reclusive, but we don't think they're stashing corpses in the ravine.) But the birds of prey didn't seem interested in Charlotte (the toddler) or Stanley, so all is well.

Mike is currently out with his buddy at the Lez Zepplin concert. They're a Led Zepplin tribute band made up of...well, you've figured it out already. Better than Mini KISS, I suppose.
