Round Two

Chris and Jess got us a new birdfeeder -- a heavy-duty metal one that is supposed to be both squirrel and bear-proof. (We haven't sighted any bears around here, and don't expect to!) The feeder has been up about a week now. And the squirrels haven't destroyed it yet! They have managed to eat some seed out of it by hanging on the pole, but that's not such a big deal -- there's still some left for the birds. (They have also scraped away some paint from around the holes -- Mike says he'll shoot them if they chew through the metal. I don't know what exactly he'll shoot them with, but...)
