The coolest thing about the NC Botanical Gardens? The display of carniverous plants.
(They even have some Venus flytraps for sale, with the caution that one should never feed them hamburger. Why hamburger? That remains a mystery.)

I'm thinking that venus fly traps infected with mad cow disease might be a recipe for a particularly horrifying science fiction thriller.
