Goodbye, Bolivia Rug

This rug has been with the Barr family for 46 years--mom and dad Barr bought it in Bolivia before Mike was born. It is a heavy wool rug that has been passed around among all of the kids, with the last stop in our guest room. But finally, it was falling apart and had to go. A sad day!

The rug started out in Bolivia in 1963, emigrated to North Carolina in 1964, transferred to South Dakota, moved to Louisiana, matriculated in college in Baton Rouge, accompanied Kim to her jobs in Tallahassee and Washington DC, spent time in Mike's basement at Ohio State, moved to Philadelphia, and returned to North Carolina where it retired for good. Ahh, the circle of life.
