They're Here!
Melanie and Mike welcomed the arrival of two little boys on Thursday, May 14 in Chapel Hill NC. Matthew Alden Barr was born at 3:33 PM, weighing in at 2 lbs. 6 oz. and measuring 14 inches in length. His younger and slightly littler brother James Frederick Barr arrived at 3:38 pm, weighing 2 lbs. 5 oz. and measuring 14 inches long. The twins were born 13 weeks early, in their 27th week of gestation. While this is clearly earlier than we wanted, it was one week after Melanie was admitted to the hospital for symptoms of pre-term labor.
