Richmond weekend

We had a great weekend in Richmond with my sister and brother-in-law, and a friend of Nora's from her postdoc. Here are a couple of photos.

This one is from a store called For the Love of Chocolate. (The girls went there while the boys were at the CD/DVD store.) This place has just about any kind of candy you could want, from imported chocolate to the nothing-but-sugar candy that we loved as kids but would probably make us sick now. But this one was confusing to me -- who exactly is the target market for gummy fried eggs??

And another culinary masterpiece is available at the Galaxy Cafe, one of our other stops. The "Knock Me Up, Scotty" features fried pickles, ranch dressing, hard boiled eggs, and a scoop of ice cream on the side. I'm betting that one doesn't get ordered too often.

And moving away from the food theme -- there's nothing cuter than a beagle puppy! Nora's neighbors recently added this little fellow to their canine family.
