Halloweenies

Eighty thousand people celebrated Halloween on Franklin Street, but we were not among them. In fact, we didn't even get our decorations down from the attic. (My husband didn't want the trouble!) We did get to see two of our neighbors trick or treating (a monkey and a princess, both very cute.) That was good enough for us! Most of the kids in the neighborhood actually go to other neighborhoods where the houses are little closer together.

Our other neighbor was going with three of his friends as a Beatle. Somehow it does my heart good to know that even the next generation still thinks Paul, John, George, and Ringo are cool. (He got to be Paul; I feel a bit sorry for the one who got stuck with Ringo.)

We have high hopes for next year, when Halloween falls on a Thursday, and perhaps not the day before I'm headed out of town.
