Chicken of the Woods

Our recent spate of rainy weather has led to some new and interesting fungus growth in the yard. This one in particular is huge and bright orange. (Again with the Halloween theme! Nature is so clever...)

According to the Internet, this is actually edible (thus the "Chicken of the Woods" nickname -- I kid you not -- which is more appetizing than "Sulfer Shelf", the other common name). Don't expect a culinary report from us any time soon, though -- we'll stick to store-bought.
